A tropical low is expected to move west southwest off the Dampier Peninsula in the next hour or two and is likely to develop into a tropical cyclone off the west Kimberley coast later today.
This system is likely to impact the east Pilbara or far west Kimberley coast as a Severe Tropical Cyclone on Sunday.
People between Cape Leveque and DeGrey, including Broome need to prepare for cyclonic weather and organise an emergency kit including first aid kit, torch, portable radio, spare batteries, food and water.
