Each year, the WA State Government reviews electricity tariff prices, fees and charges so they better reflect the costs of making and delivering electricity through Western Australia.
This year the WA State Government has announced changes to most electricity tariffs, in line with inflation. These changes come into effect from 1 July 2023.
There are also a number of changes to the fees and charges you pay.
What's changing?
We’ve listed the main changes to tariffs, fees and charges below. Prices and fees effective 1 July 2023.

Residential tariffs
A2 Residential Tariff
The A2 tariff is the standard residential tariff applied to private dwellings (houses, home units, flats, apartments) used solely for residential purposes. It offers customers the same flat rate energy charge regardless of where they live and which time of the day electricity is used.

Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme (DEBS)

Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS)
Some residential customers or educational, charitable or not-for-profit organisations with systems under 5kW still receive REBS. REBS is a buyback product which has been superceded by DEBS and is no longer available for new applications.

We will work with you to set up support measures that work for your circumstances, as well as providing practical advice on how you can reduce your electricity usage.
Do you hold a concession card?
If you hold a valid concession card, you could be eligible for a number of rebates which could help to reduce the cost of your energy bills.
We offer these rebates and subsidies to eligible customers on behalf of the State Government.
National Energy Bill Relief
The Federal and WA State Governments have announced a jointly funded National Energy Bill Relief Offset for eligible residential and small business customers.
