Critical load application

The health and safety of the community can be put at risk if critical organisations and businesses experience a power outage. If yours is one of them, it’s important to complete a critical load application form and return it your local Horizon Power office.

We'll ensure you are given priority reconnection in the event of an unplanned outage and plenty of advance notice for planned outages in your area.

Check if you're eligible

We've listed some examples of eligible industries on this page. You'll need to provide the details for each site you wish to register as a critical load using our online form.

Submit the form

Submit your completed application form at the details below. We’ll send you a letter to confirm the outcome of your application.

Create a back up plan

While we will do everything in our power to ensure you never lose power, it’s essential you also have a pre-arranged action plan for unexpected outages.
