Horizon Power Illuminate employee wellbeing program awarded at the 2022 AIM WA Pinnacle Awards

November 29 2022

We’re thrilled our employee health and wellbeing program 'Illuminate' won the Lifeline Workplace Wellbeing Excellence category at the 2022 AIM WA Pinnacle Awards, held on 17 November 2022.

The Illuminate program supports employees' health and wellbeing across the three pillars of physical, mental and general wellbeing.

Jennie Milne, Executive General Manager Employee Experience and Reputation, accepted the award on behalf of Horizon Power and spoke of the support Illuminate provides to our employees.

“Our focus on wellbeing and mental health is so important for our people. Illuminate provides the tools and resources our employees need to look after and improve their health and wellbeing, and it’s wonderful to see this recognised.”

Ryan Dwyer, Safety Health & Wellbeing Delivery Lead, was instrumental in Illuminate's implementation and also accepted the award on the night.

“Certainly one of the challenges rolling out a new program like Illuminate, was ensuring that all our workforce – regardless of where they’re located – have the same access to information and any initiatives and seminars we run. But it’s been great to see the program, which was only launched in September 2021, has been enthusiastically embraced by employees around the business.”

The AIM Pinnacle Award offers recipients a $20,000 leadership and management training prize that can be donated to a charity of their choice. Horizon Power is pleased to donate the prize to Shooting Stars - an initiative of Glass Jar Australia and one of our ongoing community partners.

We’re so pleased that we can pay it forward and donate the $20,000 prize to Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars is a not-for-profit Indigenous organisation working with young girls and women in Western and South Australia. Their program combines advocacy and support, engagement activities, rewards, and health and wellbeing sessions to strengthen participants' confidence, cultural identity, and positive attitudes, while promoting their health and wellbeing – so it’s a perfect recipient of this prize and we’re excited to see how it will help them.
