- Severe weather expected along Gascoyne coast this Saturday
Update: Friday 22 February 6pm
We’re closely monitoring ex Tropical Cyclone Lincoln – forecast to re-intensify overnight and expected to impact the far west Pilbara and Gascoyne coast on Saturday.
Our crews are well prepared and on standby to respond to any potential damage to electrical infrastructure. We’ve also postponed any planned maintenance in the region until further notice.
If the power goes out, please be patient. Our crews will be working hard to get everything back to normal as soon as it's safe.
Some tips to help prepare for the storm:
Stay 10 meters away from damaged electrical equipment and fallen powerlines.
Prepare an emergency kit and get cyclone safety tips.
Keep track of any outages in your area by visiting us online or logging in to the Horizon Power app.
Visit DFES for the latest weather and emergency response updates
Why do we have outages?
While we do everything possible to keep the power on, there are several reasons your power supply may be interrupted.
