Smarter energy storage powering regional WA

April 10 2025

We're expanding our network-connected battery systems across regional WA, including Exmouth, Carnarvon and Esperance. Our battery systems will stabilise the grid and improve voltage.

More solar, lower costs

By helping to manage energy flow, these batteries will allow more homes and businesses to benefit from solar power, cut down on wasted energy, and lower emissions. They’ll also reduce the need for expensive upgrades to the electricity network, making energy more affordable for everyone.

Stronger, more reliable power

Our battery systems will stabilise the grid and improve voltage. With built-in safety features, advanced energy management through our DERMS, these network connected batteries will improve reliability for regional communities.

Smarter energy future

At Horizon Power, we're committed to delivering clean, affordable, and reliable energy solutions. These new battery systems are another step in delivering more stable, sustainable and cost-effective energy for regional WA.

This project is made possible thanks to our funding partners ARENA. Visit the ARENA website.

More from our CEO, Steph Unwin:

Additional battery storage capacity enables more people to install, connect and benefit from rooftop solar.

Customers installing a 3 kilowatt solar system can expect to save approximately $1,275 per year on their power bills.
